| God’s strength shines brightest through surrendered weakness. |
Reading of the Day: 2 Corinthians 12:7–10 (KJV)
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure… there was given to me a thorn in the flesh.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee…
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities… for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Short Explanation
We often hide our weakness, believing strength means having it all together. But God reveals a deeper truth—real strength begins with surrender. Paul prayed for removal, but God offered grace instead. Sometimes God doesn’t take away the struggle because He wants to transform us through it. Weakness becomes the doorway for divine power. When we stop pretending, God starts working. His grace meets us where we feel most exposed. Our limits make room for God’s sufficiency. Strength is not self-made; it is God-given.
Morning Prayer
Father God,
I admit my weakness before You.
I need Your grace more than my own strength.
Work through what I cannot fix.
Teach me to trust Your sufficiency.
I surrender my pride to You.
Amen.
