| Peace arrives when control is released into God’s hands. |
Reading of the Day: Philippians 4:4–7 (KJV)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Short Explanation
Anxiety often comes from trying to manage what we cannot control. We replay scenarios, fear outcomes, and carry tomorrow’s worries today. God invites us to a different response—prayer instead of panic. This passage shows that peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of God. When we bring everything to Him, His peace guards our hearts. Control exhausts us, but trust restores us. Gratitude shifts our focus from fear to faith. God’s peace doesn’t always change circumstances, but it changes us. Trust is the doorway through which peace enters.
Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father,
I release my worries into Your hands.
Teach me to pray instead of panic.
Guard my heart with Your peace.
Help me trust You more each day.
Thank You for Your calm presence.
Amen.
