God Is Working—Even When Nothing Seems to Change

| God’s work continues, even when progress feels invisible. |
Reading of the Day: Romans 8:26–30 (KJV)
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son…
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Short Explanation
When life feels stagnant, doubt easily creeps in. We wonder if our prayers matter or if God has forgotten us. Romans reminds us that God is always working—even behind the scenes. Not everything feels good, but God uses everything for good. Delay does not mean denial. Silence does not mean absence. God weaves purpose into pain, confusion, and setbacks. Faith grows when we trust the process without seeing the outcome. God’s plans unfold in ways we rarely recognize at first. What feels like nothing may be God doing everything.
Morning Prayer
Lord,
I don’t always see what You are doing.
Help me trust You when progress feels slow.
Strengthen my faith in unseen seasons.
Turn every struggle toward good.
I believe You are still at work.
Amen.
